The trees repeat the voices of the missing. The wood will let nobody go while the Stag of a Thousand Eyes lives, and the ruined Sanctuary of the Source keeps silent — for now.
Lands
The wood is held by the Stag of a Thousand Eyes, and while he lives it lets nobody go. In the Weeping Grove sits the Mourner of the Grove, and the ruined Sanctuary of the Source keeps silent until chapter 2 — a promise the game makes aloud and then keeps.
The Stag defeated gives Flora back to the world: a thousand eyes close, and her own open.
The Endless Spiral enters this layer from tier 5.
