How the square works: what is allowed, what is not, and by what measures.

6 August 20262 min read

The forum is a common square, not someone’s private house. People argue here, help each other, scold the game and praise it. Little is forbidden, and that little is listed.

Not allowed

  • Insulting a person. Taking apart their argument is fine and welcome; going after them is not.
  • Stirring up hatred on any grounds.
  • Publishing other people’s private data — addresses, correspondence, photographs, names outside the game.
  • Advertising and spam: other projects, the sale of accounts and currency, links for the sake of links.
  • Starting the same thread again after it has been closed.
  • Getting around a restriction from another account — that counts as a separate and heavier offence.

The measures of the square

  • a title runs to 120 characters, a post to 8,000;
  • the pause between your own posts is 20 seconds;
  • no more than 3 links in a post (long-standing members of the square get more);
  • your own post can be edited for 30 minutes after sending;
  • the very same post sent a second time does not go through;
  • the only attachment is artwork from the game: the portal has no file upload.

What a Watcher does

Hides what breaks the rules, closes and pins threads, handles reports, and on a repeat temporarily forbids writing. A hidden post does not disappear: a plate stays in its place so the conversation is not torn apart.

A Watcher does NOT edit the portal’s publications and does not hand out roles — only a Warden of the Code can. The separation is deliberate.

If a decision seems unfair

Write about it in the English tavern in calm words. Every moderator action is written into the log; it can be pulled up and reconsidered.

The other codes

Rules are read out of order: from “the forum” people more often go to “fair play” than back to the list.
